이번 국립현대미술관 과천에서 ‘젊은 모색 2023’ 참여 작가 Graphic Designer 김동신 작가의 Peoduction으로 참여한 전시이다. 전시장에 설치한 <부조>와 <휴먼스케일>의 작품을 제작하였고, 이 외 김동신 작가의 작품들을 관람할 수 있다.
<부조>, <지도>, <휴먼스케일>은 전시장에서 작품과 함께 있던 물건의 흔적을 추적한다. 이 작업들은 과거 과천관 1, 2전시실에서 개최한 과거 전시 도면 자료를 바탕으로 한다. 200여의 전시에서 제대로 남아있는 36개의 전시 도면에 담긴 선의 궤적과 휴먼스케일 기호 등의 요소들을 재해석해 콘크리트로 구축하고, 종이 위 그래픽으로도 구현했다. 박스 테이프로 제작한 <링>은 과천관 램프코어 천장에 새긴 상량문을 그래픽 디자인의 매체와 문법으로 변주한 작업이다.

Relief, Map and Human Scale trace the remains of objects that were once present in an exhibition space and aim to revive them. These works are based on past layout drawings of exhibitions held at the Gallery 1 and 2 of MIMCA Gwacheon.
Kim reinterprets the elements such as the trajectory of the line and the human scale symbol contained in 36 past exhibition drawings that were properly preserved from over 200 exhibitions. She spells out these elements as concrete structures as well as graphics on paper. Ring, made with box tape, is a work that transforms the text inscribed on the ceiling of the core ramp in the museum into the medium and grammar of graphic design.
